Adhesives and sealants specialist cancels participation at glasstec

H.B. Fuller | KÖMMERLING looks forward to international trade fairs beginning in 2022

Pirmasens - February 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its current ramifications, H.B. Fuller | KÖMMERLING has decided not to exhibit at this year’s glasstec show in Düsseldorf in June. Nevertheless, as the global market leader in insulating glass sealants we are working at full speed to ensure continuity of supply to both new and existing customers whilst maintaining the same product quality, logistical reliability and technical support they have come to expect.

The unfolding of the pandemic and the high infection rates, especially in Europe, do not currently allow us a reliable forecast of the trade show timing in mid-June. Travel restrictions are still in place worldwide and are constantly being adapted to the prevailing situation in individual countries. Under these circumstances, H.B. Fuller | KÖMMERLING is putting the protection and health of its customers and employees ahead of its presence at the trade show in Düsseldorf and has therefore withdrawn its participation in glasstec.

“We didn’t approach the decision lightly,” explains Ernst Semar, Business Unit Manager Glass EIMEA at H.B. Fuller | KÖMMERLING. “In view of the pandemic and its necessary restrictions, we inevitably see what makes the trade fair so special for our customers and for us – its international scope, the numerous contacts and close, personal exchange – as being called into question. It was with this in mind that we decided to protect our customers, partners, interested parties and employees, and to continue reducing contacts in order to do our part to combat the pandemic.” The company hopes to be back at international trade shows without restrictions in the not-too-distant future.

Operations at H.B. Fuller | KÖMMERLING development and production centers, naturally, continue at full speed. “In the meantime, we are focusing our efforts on reliable production scheduling and the development of new products and processes. In this difficult current economic environment, it is more important than ever that we are a strong and reliable partner for our customers, working tirelessly together to overcome these challenges,” concludes Dr. Christian Scherer, Head of Business Development Glass.
